The problem is that while technically that is the law, you would have a real fight getting any business to actually obey it, especially for electronic delivery. Every service I have ever seen specifically says "there are no refunds for this item".

I do agree its a bit stupid asking on a public forum for help with piracy, but I also agree with the principle of try before you buy and unfortunately there is often no facility to do this without actually involving piracy.

clauses such as this are illegal, at least in my country. perhaps i am spoiled by the good consumer protection here, which has been in place for many years already.

but i assumed the european "Fernabsatzrichtlinie" (sorry, didn't find an english link) would be mandatory for sygic as well, being a company based in the EU.

doesn't the UK sales of goods act include a similar statement? that the consumer's right to cancellation is indispensible? ("unabdingbar")
