I saved a curry recipe that I found online into my docs and now I have loads of images from the web page filling up my gallery!
Is there any way of stopping this from happening?

    ps lovely curry!

Yep there is - there are a couple of threads on it. A search here should give you the answer which is basically to make an entry within a specific file to stop tracker looking in that directory for items.

when you save page as it downloads everything on the page images and all and puts them in a folder. the gallery will find those images.

Try it on your desktop and see if it is any different. I bet it isn't.

It basically saves whole webpage with images. I would recommend that next time you try:

    - Swipe finger from left off screen to screen so that cursor icon pops up
    - Click it to lock it
    - Now you have mouse cursor and you can select text
    - Select text
    - Press ctrl-c to copy
    - Open your favorite notes program and paste it there ctrl-v

    .edit
At least I have successfully saved bus-timetable webpages to html files
