Hope this problem get solved.
I fixed it by downloading the .deb from garage, unpacking it and putting the 99_autodisconnect file in /etc/network/if-up/ manually as root.

On linux you can unpack the interesting part of a .deb with the command:
Code:
ar p mypackage.deb data.tar.gz | tar zx

Hey,
Too bad I don't have linux os running on my computer and N900 doesn't seem to understand the ar command.
Could you upload the unpacked .deb file somewhere, please?

Would it be possible to add info to log about which program or service has started network connection in addition to wlan, gprs, etc...? It would be helpfull to know from battery saving point of view why connection has been opened (i.e. kind of unintentional connection running in background).

Very good application, thank you very much!

Great, I could use this feature too as sometimes my wlan connection is opened and wlan0 keeps receiving some 30k to 70k a minute and I only have a terminal window opened and am not even using the device.

Is there a way to see which application is responsible for all this traffic?

are we officially waiting for pr1.2 before seeing this app hit the extras? Am going camping in the summer at a remote location and having no autodisconnect will rape my battery in seconds!!!
