This is not a hate thread at all infact i love the n900 more than anything but lastnight was so depessing i was going to a concert bout 2hours drive away to see Akon Pitbull and others. And the F'ing maps on it is so rediculous i could even locate a simple destination. My N95 8gb was the best with maps but this N900 just made me want to cry. Anyway how long have we got to wait till we get decent Mapping?
Those sig maps dont support Australia i went to purchase it but my country is not listed.
maps on n900 suck its not a navigation app like the version on symbian. hopefully one day it might be decent.

Basically you purchase and install Sygic maps for N900. Then you obtain an "unsupported" map that works on another platform, such as Android. You manually add this to the Sygic maps you have purchased.

ive never liked ovi maps.......i would wait for tomtom, its the best!
Still got my n73 with tomtom inc updated speed cams, hot spots etc on it, most handiest app i ever had.

Yes this phone is just really an internet tablet at the moment. if it could do everything the n95 could do i might suggest it to be one the best phones around. I have an n900 and im slowly coming to terms with the waste of money. )I'm seriously considering to switch back to my N95-8GB as primary device for the following reasons:
- FREE office app.
- Google Maps (navigation)
- Louder speakers (ringtones/media-player)
- Easier to use with one hand
- no need to mess with X-terminal and stuff, just install the app you want and go!
At this moment I'm starting to feel like a Nokia-guineapig, who's visting the maemo-org forum daily just to try to get most out of it...
Either that or the crackers have used a non-retail version that was still compatible with them or something; although I find that unlikely.
Also usual disclaimer of me not supporting piracy blah blah... please don't hurt me mods :P
