This problem is due to poor IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server at the site you are trying to visit. Before analysing this problem, you should clear your browser cache completely. Then try if things work all right.

Here, I think that you also get the bad request error when the Phone Service provider blocks the sockets used to access the Internet. Is it possible that you surfed the Internet a little too much using the ( phone as) modem tethering ? This does not explain why you can still get your emails from goggle. Maybe your access is not entirely blocked yet.

I am surprised and also shocked to see no replies for this. Does this mean that i am the only one having this issue ? If any of you faced this problem please let me know the resolution?

You will know that the carrier has blocked access if your Nokia IT does not get to the Internet anymore. In the beginning of the Nokia Internet Tablet idea, the carriers had not blocked the sockets. They never thought that someone would come up with the idea of ' Modem tethering '. But once they found that many people are surfing this way they decided to make more money by developing the idea of Data Plans (if one wants to use the Phone as a tethered Bluetooth modem) along with the Voice Plan.

So now normally the Carriers require a Data plan along with a regular Voice plan. This data plan allows one to use the Phone as a tethered Bluetooth modem. For quite sometime, after downloading the Nokia OS (the one released before the present one) I was able to get online then suddenly I could not get online anymore (almost similar to you) and I got the same error message that you are getting. I even thought that this was because of the fact that I had not updated to the new OS. I did this, but my Nokia 770 would still not get onto the Internet.

After lots of search and research I found that it was possible for the Carriers to block the sockets. I talked to T-mobile a few times about this. Then finally I subscribed to the T-Mobile Unlimited Internet Data plan ($ 29.99) along with my normal Voice Plan. After this things were working perfectly for a few months till I decided that I no longer need to surf the web that much and that I could simply latch on to unsecured WiFi signals to quench my thirst for Internet access.
