Hi, I have uploaded the package osso-applet-screencalibration-fix
to extras-devel based on the latest sources http://maemo.gitorious.org/fremantle...eencalibration (probably part of PR1.2). It creates a second screen calibration icon in Settings which should work better. After the PR1.2 upgrade you can safely uninstall it. just install "Bugfix for Touchscreen calibration" from section System in HAM. please vote for it at http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...on-fix/1.12-6/ if works (http://wiki.maemo.org/Help_testing_software) for you. Note: older versions (up to v33) of kernel-power custom kernel are not compatible with the touchscreen application. the latest version (>=v34) in extras-testing is compatible. see also http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=47596 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=44373 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=36532 Last edited by titan; 2010-05-24 at 19:38. Excellent. Thanks for this titan. I had been having trouble skipping through videos on the web, even using the pointer so I could see where the screen thought I was touching. Much better now!

Didn't read the power-kernel part and installed it, now both this calibration and the original one crashes... "Sad face"
Will it go back to normal if i revert to the stock kernel? |

you only need to calibrate once with stock and then you can install kernel-power.
the settings are used with both kernels, only the calibration program is incompatible with kernel-power. |

Thanks Titan, it worked perfectly for me! Tested using HealthCheck's screen calibration test tool, now I can finally reach all 4 screen edges. Previously there was always about 1/16th of an inch unreachable on at least 1 edge, no matter how many times I tried to calibrate.

oh, sorry for US measurements. 1/16th inch is about 1 or 2 mm
