    what do you think?

I think the big difficult is to create its driver.

I think porting maemo 5 all by yourself to whatever device has the screen you want is easier.

Seriously, I'm no expert but to my knowledge there is a specific lcd controller on board, and those are not standard. Also the touchscreen controller present is meant to read resistive touchscreens. And the technologies being different I don't think the controller would support your new screen. So all in all I think the answer is a NO unless you can rebuild the motherboard from scratch.

You got it. This is all based on hardware level IC's (Integrated Circuits) and ASICS chips. A total MoBo rebuild would be required, and I for one don't particularly fancy re-soldering a BGA (Ball Grid Array) under an IC or ASIC....

How about "Is it possible to mount a particle accelerator on my N900 as a super long life battery"?

It's about as likely, and about as pointless.

Jumping Gigawatts man, are you suggesting a flux capacitor mounted on an N900?

Easy - just use duct tape.

i guess its easier to port maemo to a device with a capacitive screen than replacing the n900s resistive screen with a capacitive one...
