Probably we should export default profiles and upload them to wiki (if it´s possible)
.edit
Sorry it's not default
Threads is 1 in default, but if you want vlc to use all your processors power and you have multithreading capable processor then put there 2.

Hi,
I might found reason (and fix) why vlc on windows doesn't restart after crash:
http://wiki.videolan.org/Windows_ser..._Service_Hangs
Actually it showed me dialog about crash right after when i restarted knots server.
Restarting can be checked by killing VLC with task manager when server is running, but a crash is little harder to reproduce on Windows. But hope it works.
) and make it possible to use gconf to alter mplayer command used to view the stream (on one line):gconftool-2 -s /apps/knots/mplayer_command "/usr/bin/mplayer -speed 0.5" -t string

How damn cumbersome can things get..
I am registered so i can post in this forum. I follow your link, and now i have to log in again? I try that, but apparently its not the same userid as I can't log in.
I try clicking "Register" on top of the page - and now it apparently registers me @ garage.
Fine two logins for Maemo stuff them.
But when using the garage login my N900 gets stuck on a blank "Remember this password" screen...
So no voting from me
Your garage account should work, talk and bugzilla have different accounts iirc. But if you wanted to thumb it down, maybe it's for the best

I should make the extra params for vlc default they disable those popups. If you want to test, you can add them by hand to lib/vlc.rb start_vlc method.
For now you can't add custom params to mplayer, but i think it reads the normal config. But I'll add a param that makes mplayer read a custom config in the next version.
