Hi, is there any program that enables annotating PDF files on the N800?
(i.e., opening a PDF and writing on it with the stylus)

How is people's experience reading PDFs in general (particularly scientific articles).

Thanks!

No annotation.
PDF reading is good.

I read scientific articles on it regularly, it's surprisingly good. Evince is more useful than the default pdf reader (easier to turn pages when in full screen mode) and allows rotated viewing. Taking notes while reading articles is a bit of a hassle. I use leafpad and swap back & forth, it's not really much more of a drag than swapping between a pair of desktops with a pdf viewer and text editor (obviously nowhere near as nice as a widescreen monitor).

Is there a chance someone will come up with a way to annotate? Or is there some design feature that prevents it?

Try Xournal, a great app for note taking which is also capable of opening and annotating pdf docs. If you have a n800, install Xournal from its repository, then install the patch from http://henryykt.googlepages.com/xournalforn800 (see also http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?p=33520 ). Just remember the highlighter tool, which has transparency on screen, is *not* transparent on paper!
