The links seem down for the OS2008 version of Conky, so I've done a quick build of the Maemo5 version for Diablo. It puts the Maemo5 conky.conf file in /etc/conky.conf and uses that by default. It will also launch using /home/user/MyDocs/conky.conf if one is present.

I've quickly tested it on my N800 and it looks horrible! I've took the conf from page 2 of this thread and created /home/user/MyDocs/conky.conf with it. This shows conky as is traditional, on the desktop as per the screenshots in this thread.

This package may not match the features of qwerty12's original build or those on Maemo5, although it is built from the same upstream version. It still has a dependency on Droid fonts (ttf-droid), as per the default Maemo5 config.

I'll probably not get around to trying to make this look nice, but you can obviously modify the config file any way you want (as long as you don't try to use any unsupported features).

    Binary deb here.
    Source here.

    Hope this is useful.

This deb has a default conf that is less offensive to the eye than the one I previously posted.

In the default N900 Conky display, what are 'Lo' and 'Dio'? It wasn't obvious to me from the man page. Thanks, Cheers, Tony.

qwerty12 seems to have mislaid his original debs, so I built a diablo version of the deb I made for Maemo5. It is linked in a post just above this one. You can use any conky.conf file you like with it, including those posted earlier in the thread, although my build may not be fully feature compatible with qwerty12's build and those posted confs. YMMV.

hmm. perhaps there is something wrong with posting from the minimalist dark theme from my N900, as markup seems to appear in my post text. i give up with the edits.
