when you close the app, are there any messages in the terminal?

Can you run the command from outside of the directory, and use its full pathname.

eg
cd /
python /opt/nclock/nclock.py

looks like a desktop startup problem, which is normally a path issue.
if that works, can you uninstall, and re-install.

This returns the same error message pertaining to missing theme files.

missing theme is correct behaviour if you have not loaded any themes. Download the theme pack in the OP and then select the theme from the config menu ( Tap the screen to get config). if it has no theme it will default to the internal cockpit theme.

for some reason your app is not launching fromthe icon, i m not sure why..

what firmware version are you on

not really, but Mydocs is good. create a directory like "nclocktheme"
and put each theme directory in there.
all themes are made up of multiple files.
you select the theme directory in the config screen. give it a few sec when you select the directory.

Hi,
Maybe it's not the right place in this case please redirect me, but I couldn't find a better one so far.
I have some troubles with nclock.
After installing from extras-testing, when I try to run it from the 6-squares, it looks like something is launching, but after a couple of seconds I get the desktop back .
So I tried to run it from command line ,

Nokia-N900-42-11:/home/opt/nclock# python ./nclock.py
Couldn't resolve property: Strips1_1

This will run it, but without removing the title bar, such that i can see only the top of the third button (the one below "Zoom In"), I can't read its name but when I click the visible button area with the stylus I get into the config dialog.

Is there a way to fix it so that I'll be able to run it as a normal user?
Very cool anyway!
