Hi guys,

I'm trying to install the "usb-network-modules" module but im not able because im getting an "Immposible to install usb-network-modules application package incompatible".

Also im not able to find it through appl mngr (i'v added extras devel / testing repo)

The version I'm trying to install is 0.2

Any idea??

until you don't have host mode this module is useless.

mm i dont quite understand what you're saying, I'm currently setting up the N900_USB_networking configuration in order to provide internet connection to my n900 via USB, and at the tutorial states "You need to install the package usb-network-modules."

Shoud I install it?? or can I ignore that??

if you want to connect a ethernet to usb stick this don't work cause lack of host mode
if you want to use n900 as a gsm modem for your laptop .. take a look

Hi Again Blue,

What I want to do is to provide internet to my N900 feeding it via USB cable connected to my PC.

Internet
N900 <------------ PC (Windows)

As far as I know that is possible.

Hi Zimon, yes I have read that, but since I have an N900 device i shoud refer to "http://wiki.maemo.org/N900_USB_networking" which states that I have to install "usb-network-modules" package, which i cannot install since the error described at my first post.
