Currents seems to be a little bit smaller (those ones that I managed to measure), but device was much more unstable. After several un-intentional boots I gave up. SmartReflex don't work for me with my current settings. Both VDD1 and VDD2 were enabled.

    EDIT: Boot reasons: sw_rst

I've had my N900 overclocked to 1150mhz for a couple days now without any issue.

Went straight to Titan's "ideal" voltage configuration, and then further reduced voltages from there.

I must have a really good chip, because my settings are much lower than Titan's "ideal" configuration and I'm still fully stable.

    Titan's "ideal" voltages: "30 30 30 30 33 38 45 45 48 48 54 54 60 72 72"

    My current voltages: "20 20 20 26 30 35 40 42 44 46 50 52 56 60 64"

These voltage settings have been stable for about 5 hours straight of hard use/multitasking, and about 20 hours of idle/casual use. The big surprise was how much I was able to reduce the voltages for the highest clock frequencies, I only needed 1.4v instead of 1.5v for 1150mhz.

I'm still reducing them bit by bit to tune out a final result, but it should greatly reduce the chance of damaging my chip by overclocking as well as the battery life hit. The only voltages I've really "finalized" are the 125/250mhz idle and 1150mhz cpu frequency voltages - setting them lower than this will result in random application crashes or the device rebooting. Everything inbetween I haven't spent much time on, and will still adjust after keeping these settings for a few more days to make sure there's no hickups at all.

How do you know that? So any amount of oc'ing corrupts any sd card? What if you don't have an SD card, then you're safe?

The possibility of that was never disputed, but it's not a guaranteed outcome. Anytime the system is failing at operations and you do a "disk" write, you stand a chance of corrupting it. When you overclock, you are by definition running the system outside of known good operating parameters, so you have to consider that a possibility.

It's important to backup your data first, and run extensive tests with the new settings before considering them "safe". Best practice is to find the setting that is unstable and then back off several notches.

1.Well I've had a device since lunch date(not the same one)and it never happen. I put two and two together... or maybe it was just time for my card to go (its 8gig transcend about 2years old and has be in 2 other devices..)

    2. we need more tests(i really dont know)

    3.yeah lol

I've been oc'ing approximately since this thread showed me it was possible and survivable and haven't had any signs of data corruption. I do all kinds of risky things, and if I did have any problems, I wouldn't know where they came from, but I would not suspect oc'ing at first because it seems so stable on my N900.
