Hi, I was wondering if anyone can confirm this is true coz I've noticed couple of times or may be its just me but it happened just now as well and my left ear is still feeling the heat. I was answering the call from oversea and may be for around 10 mins and device got crazy hot. BTW, I have OC'ed to 750 titan's ulv kernel. However, to check, I immediately made call to my fren - local, and didn't seee that much heat producing though I just tried for 4-5 mins with loud speakers on and also watched the freq and it was 249600. Really, I have a feeling, this way it will be affecting my ear and my brain badly

The phone doesn't handle local and international calls differently it shouldn't overheat on one and not the other.

Yeah, technically the phone should not and does not care if it's an international call you are receiving or not. Perhaps there were some other activity going on with your phone. 3G packet data tends to make the phone hot.

Ok so this means its just my phone and its sth else thats heating up my phone. I don't think its data coz I don't use them at all just home wifi, so is there anything else that might cause this coz really its unbearable when it happens.

My celular transmitter gets stuck in transmit for no good reason. I only noticed because if you get it close to a car stereo you hear the buzzing. once its started a power off and on seems to be the only thing that stops it. needless to say its reflected in battery life too. Not sure if this could be happening to you.

It may be not true. The problem is in signalling - some international call may not return properly some Q931 signaling and we know for sure that N900 handles differently the different phases of call.

For exam, it was discovered that if you call somebody the phone goes to 600MHz until your party answers. The same may be in another call phases.

Any phone, when connected thru 3G tends to heat up and I use the wired headset for long call durations.
