Im having problems installing the extra plugins protocol 0.8

I just need the yahoo chat. is there a way to use yahoo chat in jabber protocol?

i dont like installing another client like pidgin. need help....

I'm going to go out on a whim and guess that some application packages required for installation are missing.

Have you tried rebooting the device? That seems to be the first thing that gets suggested around here. Perhaps even do a google search for "upstart-job N900" and see if there is a fix?

I have the same problem. 2 day ago everything was ok, then I had to re flash the phone and now I can't install it.

fixed it... i just disabled the extras- devel repo and enable it again.
