Has anyone made a QR Code reader application for the N800? Ideally, it would support the built-in camera for direct capture of the QR Code. But even if it can only read image files saved using the camera application, that would still be helpful.

Also, is there a way to change the default application that launches when you pop out the camera? It's really annoying to have it auto-start the video chat client which I never use. I'd prefer it not launch anything, to be honest.

Seconded. I've been looking for one for ANYTHING other than a Nokia phone. The only Nokia product I own is the N800, and would like to be able to scan QRcodes.

I did some poking around, but a lot of code reading software got taken down / C&D'd and I'm not sufficiently awesome at realtime image analysis to pull it off. =/

    to not launch anything:
    1) In Xterm type:
gconftool-2 --set --type bool '/system/osso/af/launch-on-camera' 'false'

    OR

    2) using Gconf-Editor, uncheck "launch-on-camera" in:
    system/osso/af

    Edited 1) to use gconftool-2

afaik the camera sdk isn't available yet...hence no 3rd party camera software.

Same goes for the inbuilt radio ;(

there won't be a camera sdk or a radio sdk. they use standard APIs that exist in linux.
