Hi,

I'm a new N800 user, I upgraded to the latest firmware & have been adding apps. I'm trying to install Evince, but installer says I'm missing package libglade 2-0(>=1:2.3.6).

As far as I can see, it's supposed to be in this repository:

Web address: http://repository.maemo.org
Distribution: bora
Components: free non-free

,which I do have . Can I manually get this from somewhere?

Thanks,
Ken

1)
http://downloads.maemo.org/product/evince/

to add the repository

After that, add this one

2)
http://downloads.maemo.org/product/bora_sdk_repo/

Then try to install evince. You should be able to now.

Thanks Luke,

I added these repositories, got the same error message. I tried categories

free non-free & user for both of them.

I wonder if it's because I get the message
unable to
refresh list when I try to refresh.

Go to the App Manager's menu and look up the Logs. It should indicate what is hanging up your refresh. Most likely it is a typo somewhere in one of your repositories. Just delete or amend the problematic repo and it should work.

Thanks Luketoh,

I should have thought of looking in the log myself! It truns out that I was missing the main Maemo repository. When I added that, Evince installed fine.
Thanks for your help.
