Any way to not have the browser flash a white screen when changing pages?

I'd love it to just stay on the page until the new page is ready, then switch. It's not exactly a bug, but I find it very annoying as I do most of my N800 use at night.

I was just thinking of the same thing last night...even on the lowest brightness setting it's still "bright".
Is there a way to change the default background color somewhere in the opera.ini file?

I don't think so. At least I don't remember there being a setting for that in my years of using Opera, but I could be wrong.
