hi everybody
im making an app on my maemo device to reduce power consumption while controlling media player
it was sounding wise to me to use a 4.1 inch screen device as a media player as its screen consumes too much power.
but i still wanted to listen music via my nit device so i needed to control media player with something else rather screen.
i made a lil app that connects to my cellphone via bluetooth and also i wrote a little python script for my cellphone to send commands via bluetooth
now im capable of controlling media player on my nit device.

But i dunno which one consumes more power bluetooth or screen? :/
is there a linux software that i can watch battery consumption in different conditions.

please respond
im gonna share the app here as soon as possible

Do not know about any linux software. however, may be you would install 'battery eyes' or something like that; and then write some script to transmit command by bluetooth to the n900 continuously for some extended period of time(say a 2hours period) and check for battery consumption level delta at the end of the test. After that, run your base test by keeping the screen up for the same time period and check the battery delta at the end.

cheers,
