I can't get any bootmenu how to's to get me anywhere. I have firmware 3.2010.02-8.002.

I have tried installing bootmenu_1.6_armel.deb properly
and tried setting up a bootmenu.sh with no luck. I just reboot the phone with the keyboard out and it just boots as normal.

Do I need to patch something? Another kernel? Does it not work with my firmware version and there is a newer method?

I want to dualboot other OS's like Meego or Mer or anything else I desire.

Any help is appreciated. This team is GREAT!

Dan

Ok it's now working Thanks a million.

I was clicking the deb install file for the step "run 'Install bootmenu' application icon"

Didn't know there was another icon in "more"

well a boot menu is exactly that - a menu where you can select what operating system to start.

for example on my old n800 and n810 I installed maemo on the memory card and everytime it started up it would ask me where I wanted to load maemo from. on the internal chip or the larger memory card. pretty nifty think I might check this out.

by the way people if you dont know what you are doing then I would not mess with this stuff. unlike linux on a pc there's no way of just booting of a usb stick to mount and fix/edit system files. I would be very cautious.
