Do you wish maemo.org was more N900 friendly?

It's not a fault with the browser. It happens also with any other browser at 800 pixels wide. (try resizing your browser on your PC to a smaller size)

I did ask a while back if MicroB can be specified a certain fixed "virtual" resolution width. But nobody knew how to or nobody cared. Hmm. Maybe I'll revive that thread as more smart people now use the N900.

When I view this talk.maemo.org from the N900 browser, it cuts off the last part of the thread rating which includes going to the last page of threads on threads with many posts. Is this a known bug or is it something in my configuration?

It's just the way it is. On the very bottom of the page there's a pull-down menu that says --talk.maemo.org. On my N900 I selected one of the minimalist ones, and it works all right.

The thread "Can't see this entire page on N900" with two posts has been merged into this thread.

Hmm, thanks for the tip. 'All right' is true -- more functional than the default one but far from ideal.

Anyone up for making a 't.m.o' app, in the spirit of the 90 percent of the iphone apps that are just mobile optimized websites?

k i didn't read all the pages, just the last two, and it seems the problem is how the n900 handles the layout of some pages (say pr 1.2 speculation thread for example) and cuts off part of the navigation at the bottom of the page, right?
if that's the problem, then here's the easy solution: just zoom out a bit and hold down the ctrl, Shift, and i button. it adjusts the layout to the new zoom setting. the only drawback to this is that the text might be too small for some to read. hope this helps.

edit: k so i'm editing from my phone, wanted to post before and after screenshots
    before

after (three quick taps on the zoom out button)

as you can see, the rest of the navigation links show up.

I just use the Classic Dark theme... works for me on a desktop and my N900 just fine .

Tada! Worked like a charm. And I'm very glad to know about that keyboard shortcut, that will come in handy -- though it takes a lot of coordination to pull off!

yeah the keyboard shortcut can be a hassle, but sometimes the page reformats the layout on it's own. give it a couple of seconds, if it doesn't do it on it's own, then use the keyboard shortcut
