Yes it will re-flash because you are not trying to turn on the N900, you hold the "u" on the main keyboard plug in the usb cable already attatched to the p****ill the faint nokia logo appears with the usb sign in the top right hand corner of the screen (the display backlight does not light up) , then you start to flash from that point.
Yea i understand you but i cant do like that.
The usb logo comes and goes after 1 sec.
Because the phone is restarting itself
I have no chance to reflash.. i must first stop this damn auto restarting.
AM asking for a reason and the reason is IF the N900 tries to start itself after drain and putting the battery back in that is most likely because your battery is too low and is confusing the N900 hence the restart.
If he doesn't have another phone that uses the same battery, he has to either buy a desktop charger for the battery, or buy a new battery, which should come 50% charged, borrow a battery from a friend or he's likely to be screwed.
No it will not flash unless you can get it to the mode of flash, after a quick look at the service manual IF you cannot start the flash procedure then your only hope without taking it to a Nokia service centre is to use whats known in the trade as a BB5 flasher and you will have to use the BB5 flash concept method and i can tell you the N900 WILL flash under these conditions. I am still looking.
ive seen a thread exactly the same as this one a few weeks ago (before this leaked pr1.2) , the guy couldnt flash because the phone kept rebooting, your gonna have to search each section till you find it and see if there was a solution there
