They're just covering their *** in case some people brick their devices somehow and then try to make a warranty claim. The leaked 1.2 doesn't specifically do any damage but maybe pulling the USB cord at the wrong time or someone's computer restarting/bluescreening/crashing while flashing can.

I agree, hopefully they do step in and release it soon but I think there's a lot more going into it maybe PR wise to promote the new video calling features once it does come out.

Damage to the battery? Did I see someone list that as a devastating thing that could happen? Wouldn't that be 100% fixed by buying another battery?

Why is everyone being so serious? Christ!

It's a software patch for a gadget, not the cure for cancer.

I think we're beyond having any issues with the battery, unless it's set to mess all of your phones up on a timer. I haven't seen anyone complaining about the leaked 1.2 causing damage to the hardware, including the battery. It was obviously extremely risky for the first few people to flash it. It's less risky, but still risky to keep it on their devices.

Iīm sorry but if you like you can of course continue your monologue, but in IRL I would already had left the table when talking with you. In normal conversation people listen to each other by backing their arguments with facts or trying to explain it different way until we get somewhere. We are not getting anywhere if you keep telling us that we do not understand you. Itīs infinite loop and as I said you can continue that as long as you want. Itīs not our duty to magically understand you between lines.

If something needs a fix then there is a problem. If there is potential for problem then there is risk. New users should not be encouraged to take risks without being made aware of the warnings.

Sometimes I get spun up on ignorance.

I'm done though... seeing how people are either intentionally not listening; or simply incapable of understanding - it's just not worth the headache.

I'll be reading along solely hoping to see more sarcasm from you, Tex, and sjgads.
