Is it even plausible though? From what I read you need to be an actual business and lots of hoops to get an Ovi Store account. Plus, no DRM means you could just as well send it to people who donated as anyone who really wants to could install it without permission anyway. (it only takes one person to leak it)
Other than that I think most people are willing to pay if it means it gets done sooner.
I was thinking (it happens every now and then) about my so called "business model"...
What would you say if the "pretty" Hildon UI for UAE4All was available only via Ovi Store. Of course current version with "classic" UI will be available in Extras as usual.
And if you're OK with that, what price would you be willing to accept?
i'd be happy bout that...but what about a hildon versionfor us that have supported you by donating? i appreciate you dont do for donations, but would be good gesture?
Thing is the GUI would have to be amazing as there are likely to be more novice users browsing the store. Just finding the bios is likely to stump anyone new to Amiga emulation.
Its a shame you cant get a deal to include the bios legally.
As far as I am aware that ROM does not currently work with UAE4All as it needs the ROM key functionality that WinUAE has. Plus, its not exactly simple from a novice point of view.
What I meant was it licensed as part of your GUI so its downloaded from Ovi Store along with the GUI so that its as simple as possible. That however I suspect is a whole lot more complicated than porting the ROM key source from WinUAE.
1. Once you have a license to use the ROM it does not really matter where did you get it from, does it?
2. As you mentioned - The code to support ROM key is already in WinUAE/E-UAE and I will look into porting it.
