As far as I can see, there's nothing that specifies any dates or detailed schedule whatsoever, the resolution seems to be season or at most yearly quarter. I can't really see what you mean...in what way is this more detailed than the nokia announcements? Nokia has even told us about bug fixes and release an SDK. I agree that there should be more info from them, but as far as I can tell it's no better with SE or iPhone. Besides, why do you keep comparing the N900 with these phone-only devices. N900 is a mobile computer, but with a phone feature.

but if apple was selling the n900 i bet 20million more units could of got sold. dont get me wrong i dont want the n900 to be a huge device that idiots own. lol i like being one of the only one is australia for the past couple of months.

ok, agree there! But just remember also that most often the N900 has a rather different kind of customer compared to the fruit people. It's a pretty wild guess, but I'd say most N900 users DO know what the PR1.2 is....at least the ones that bought the device and didn't expect just another competitor in the line of touch-smartphones.
nokia is too busy making new phones. last week, they announced almost 3 new phones (x2, c6, n8 if im not mistaking) instead of updates on previously released devices.
