I bought the following battery from amazon.com...The new battery turned out to last much longer...now I’m not sure the new one is authentic but the N900 desktop battery meter is unable to read the usage % and the icon remains full at all time until dying out

The new battery turned out to last much longer (full day of heavy usage) that I have stopped using the first, original one, now I’m not sure the new one is authentic but the N900 desktop battery meter is unable to read the usage % and the icon remains full at all time until dying out (No, this isn’t why I think it last longer
I hope this helps.
