I've been listening to streaming radio (BBC Radio 4) through a stream I found (not iPlayer), whilst I drive around rural Australia.

I know this is ambitious....

Anyway, when the stream connection drops, as it inevitably does pretty frequently, due to either temporary loss of connection to the net or full-on loss of GSM/3G/3.5G connections, about 50% of the time the media player will then move on and try to play the next stream.

Sometimes this works and my political debate is interrupted by loud Russian techno-industrial. Not that I mind techno-industrial, but right now I want to listen to politics (yes, I'm nuts, clearly).

I tried to find a way to add the station to a playlist containing only itself but couldn't find a way.

Has anyone found a way to stop this behaviour?
Should I be using a different app for my streaming needs?
Should I give up listening to internet streams in remote areas?

Any help much appreciated.

D.

I agree, this is an annoyance for me as I like to stream while driving as well

I have the same problem - though not while driving, but it still counts

Same for me, except I get German techno! I was thinking of deleting all radio streams except for the one I wanted to listen to at the time, but this is not ideal. It probably should be reported as a bug.

Yeah, I thought about that too, but then I can only have one stream saved in the player at a time. You're probably right about the bug. I've not filed one before though...

It is a bug that will be fixed by the next public update:

(Please don't add "I have this problem too" comments in that report that just create bugmail for everybody. Thanks!)
