I like this thread! I saw the flash mockup of the video editor a while ago and when I found out nobody seems to be writing a video editor it inspired me to start developing for N900.
I have started writing some code that will eventually turn into something resembling that video editor. If there is a lot of interest in it, it will probably motivate me to work harder and faster!
If you can make it work like that then you are definitely a GOD or at least an N900 GOD Seriously! I mean you would be the N900 champion in development for a good amount of time in my mind. Seriously let any of us know if you got something in the works.

Simply would make the developer and the N900 set apart from the crowd!!
i dont think that it is hard to implement this in qt
i would even do this for free but i dont have enough time for that and we would have to wait for pr 1.2
if there would be more interested people and there would be a wish list for features (most important part for me), I could change my mind
and make an good video editor for n900
already implemented some basic UI......looks nice...though its my first qt app
unfortunately, I can't test it on my phone with pr1.1
