I think the older mangas had the best stories
---I am an otaku fan myself , got a very fragmented collection though! (i.e manga in different places & in different countries) but at least 50 titles on my NAS....

here are some recommends..trying not to repeat the great ones already mentioned

Battle royal high school (a.k.a Shinmajinden batoru royaru haisukūru) a rare gem
Wicked city
Karas
Sword of the samurai
Samurai chaploo
Hellsing ultimate Ovas
Bio hunter
Final fantasy (advent children)
etc..

Now some i just have to mention again..

BERSERK
a life changer granted you can get to the end of all episodes (ok admittedly i read the manga b4 i watched the anime & that is much richer & enticing )

NINJA SCROLL
Master piece (nuff said)

UROTSUKIDIJI
Twisted unpredictatable story arc this is , all the way down to part 5 + 3 episodes of the new saga

Vampire hunter D (blood lust)
Now this is an anime i have had to buy 3times...irrespective of the reasons why, you should gather something must be right with it!

thats that....

P.S
just thought I'd mention as this just came to mind..

I got Red hawk & devilman amon apocalypse on my N900 too! he he he

Just slightly off topic.

If anyone here has Knots 2 installed, could you check to see if this suggestion is possible?

If so, care to share the web address for the anime site that allows you do this?

Gotta be more specific though, there's lots of Tenchi. The only Tenchi I'll recommend are the first 13 OAV episodes ("Tenchi Muyo and Ryo-Ohki".) Wasn't terribly interested in the TV series or Movies and the continuation of the first OAV lost all its spirit in the interceding 15+ years.

One other last question...

What's the best way to insert a .srt (translated subtitle) file into an already transcoded video without losing any quality of the vid itself?

There's so many programs out there and my computer is quickly filling up with junk while still not finding a solution for this.

I just found that Death Note has a 37 episode Anime as well (in addition to the Manga. Great stuff!).
