1. Midnight Commander - Perfect (but it doesn't remember next time)
2. Contacts - Great but not perfect fit.
3. Photo - Okay (photos all gets cramped up. it's actually not bad)
4. fmms - Doesn't reorient/fit well.
5. Conversations - Initial page is fine. but not in sms etc.
At the end, it's not that special or useful yet. Guess most apps were never created with portrait orientation in mind. Ah well. I'm fine with landscape.
That would be a damn shame, purely because I have followed the development of the app closely and know there has been soooooo much work put into it.
i dont think the VKB(portrait-mode) will be available in the PR1.2..my guessing is only the interface that's support the portrait mode..but who knows..nokia is full of surprise..they're good at keeping people guessing..especially their PR1.2...
i suspect that redesigning of virtual keyboard in the leaked PR1.2 has something to do with the support for portrait keyboard. just try to compare it to the original keyboard. isn't the new keyboard more capable of rotating into portrait?
I have tried most of the inbuilt apps and the half baked rotation seems to work only for that session. If you close the app and reopen it, you need to activate the rotation again by ctrl + shift + r.
Only remains active permanently for conversations app.
Can you add more screenies to thread of differnet apps working in portrait please.
2 @felbutss i agree with you, but i think also that they are the ones who made it possible and made Nokia to think about it. I hope it's the reason why pr1.2 is delaed. otherwise i don't see any reason to wait. it would be better to have bugfix and than release with new stuff - but as new stuff added new bugs found and they don't want to release it like this. so if it's only qt - it's too long, but if there are a lot of new tasty things - i don't care to wait.

yeah - those i saw - but some people on comments mentioned other applications. also i'm curious if you can also write sms or read on portrait or it's only menu
