thanks kangal for that writeup. there are however some things that I need to clarify. The n900 does not have a digital compass. You can also rule out an xbox pad since MS do not use Bluetooth, so there is no way of connecting it to your N900. Only PS3 and Wii pads work.
now a question: is the N900 SD slot limited to 16GB while pandora has 32GB? if so, why?

Note that if you plan to get the N900 for serious gaming you're gonna suffer a lot of pain. The keyboard is nice but -- not really useful for gaming, and any BT controller will introduce some random lag.
Casual gaming -- OK.
