I think this review is fair, it covers the good points and makes it clear that the bad points are serious enough that people should be fully informed before buying the n900.

The Dining Room table review is great though, it gives me a hint of all the things I might be interested in doing with the n900 as I learn more about *nix... however long that takes me!

Wait, wait... wait. That Dining Room table review lists: 850/1900/2100 for data... where!? Isn't that AT&T's US 3G radio frequencies? Or just EDGE?

I actually got a second N900 (a backup...) after watching the dining room table review.
The part that really got me was when the reviewer said ......
"
If you're terrified by modern technology, don't bother.... you can't handle this phone.
and if you quickly lose your temper, whenever modern technology does not work properly, ......I can't help you..
If you're already comfortable with computers, shop around... there are other alternatives.
That leaves one group....... those of you who are A LITTLE TOO CONFORTABLE WITH TECHNOLOGY..... let me show you what this phone can do......
"
