hi i just got my n900 two days back and im not able to install any apps.
and this is what shows up on my log when i refresh my application manager:

E: Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...le/Release.gpg Unknown date format
E: Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...armel/Packages Bad header line

could anyone please help me?

You have to wait for the PR 1.2 release from what I heard

No, those errors are nothing to do with the PR1.2 issues. I'd suggest disabling all your repositories, exiting App Manager, then going back in and re-enabling them again. That should force a redownload of all the metadata, hopefully fixing the corruption issue you appear to have.

i disabled all the repositories and then enabled them again but stil got the same error message in the log..
and when i go to my catalogues the maemo.org catalogue says "failed to refresh".

man i hope the PR 1.2 issue fixes this...

this sucks.. i don't have a single app on my n900..

As written before this is UNRELATED to PR1.2. Hence it will NOT fix it.

So what's your exact data for the maemo.org catalogue?

im facing the same problem iv tried to go through every forum blog but cudnt get a decent answer
its says in my log, unknown date format, failed to fetch repository
and if i try to download a installer file on my laptop n transfer it to my phone n try to install it,it says application package not found and again th same list of errors
