I just tested the version from testing (2010.05.08) with two DivX movies from which one definitely worked with the previous version and both work with the standard player, but now they go crazy or crash when I change the volume.
See the attachments for debug info.
I don't anderstand why, when i'm browsing in shelf > my documents > audio clips, i can see the artist's folder that i made, with the albums inside but when i'm using "scan for media" on the "audio clips" file it's still not showing my artist's folder in shelf > music > folders
Am i the only one with this problem ?

This looks very much like a problem with gstreamer and a codec running on the DSP (nothing MediaBox can do about). Try rebooting the N900 to see if the problem remains.
Since 2010.05.08 MediaBox changes sound volume like the built-in media player through MAFW. Maybe the DSP has trouble with the volume being changed by a different process (mafw-gst-renderer) than is displaying the video (MediaBox).
How far do you get with it?
Can you search for videos or open the folders for "Most Viewed", etc.?
Is there an error visible when running MediaBox from X-Terminal?
1. Do you have a release date for the latest and greatest mediabox for Maemo4? I recall it was supposed to come out in January, but I've been so swamped between working and commuting that I haven't had a chance to keep up with the forum properly. If not, I'll ask my second question...
2. I have some wierdness with the current version. I have something like 50 podcasts under MyDocs/.sounds/Podcasts. When I let them play, it will play through the first 7 or 8, then go back to the beginning of the list. I was thinking it may be something in one of the files in that directory that was causing that behavior, but the directory is podcasts, which means they get cycled out fairly regularly (most within a week, but some stay around longer).
Have you seen this kind of behavior and is there a fix for it?

I can search for videos, but when I click on the thumbnail they don't load at all. Let me check for errors.
