At this point I am seriously starting to believe there may be some new easter egg they have put into PR1.2. Something no one is expecting.
It's most likely a longshot belief, but seriously, if you look at the time that has passed, it's long enough to seriously overhaul a lot of apps and even implement something really cool. We already got the tease about portrait mode being enabled by ctrl-shift-r..
Who knows, maybe there will be something totally unexpected in the final build.
I like the idea that there might be something really new and unexpected when PR1.2 gets here. They owe us, if you ask me.
I really don't understand why what I would call the rootfs fix needed to be tested so long -- does anyone? That would have helped a lot of people all by itself if released a month or so ago. Why not?
I think it should be only bugfixing! Someone with many usefull posts told that the feature-list for the upcoming update was closed (in March i guess).
Btw, there are some bugs i really want to be fixed immediatelly!
I don't need no new features, but i want the issues why i purchased this device working! Issues like Instant Messenger Integration in Contacts and GPS only useable with always on (which i don't want to affort). The device is stottering often (why not reboot and reload battery not every day?) and the usage of rootfs is kind of weird anyway...
Common, such a shame for Nokia! Releasing a Linux-Phone and not using efforts of the Software-Lifecycle couldn't beat the robo&fruits at all. I think they are in a strong need for supporting developers, some of them may already have gone so far...
You are right, they did freeze the features. It's been so long I forgot. GPS is a lot better judging from the leaked version. Instant Messinger integration isn't one of my interests.
