i finnaly got my n900 a couple days ago and soo far am loving it

one thing i noticed today is when i get a reply to a txt, the reply will have a timestamp which is about 30 mins before i actually sent the message... how can i fix this?

couple more things while im here, when i try to use hermes it says "something went wrong" how can i get it to work?

my emails refresh every 5mins, is there any way to get them to come instantly?

also, i downloaded the LED light app to change the colours, but is there a way to customise the colour for individual contacts?

thanks for any help

In that case use Nokia Messaging, you'll be notified instantly.

Thanks!

that is unfortunately impossible. Don't know if there would be a change to hack stuff up and add new events for individual contacts etc but I wouldn't count on it.

At first sign up here;
http://email.nokia.com/account/home.action

After signing up, you can add up to 10 email accounts from your account pages. Once you are finished adding your email accounts, do the followings;

1. Open up the "Email" application on N900.
2. Click on "New Account"
3. Click "next"
4. On the next window select "Nokia Messaging" from service provider menu.
5. Give your username (the email address you've signed up with) and password.

That's all ...

Cheers!

This is by design, Nokia have no intention of changing this it works perfectly, my bet is you are in Canada, and the n900 is not intended for Canadian use, - conclusion user error.

You give a protest vote for the bug here: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5994

but it is WONTFIX for now meaning Nokia doesn't give a dam.

But there is a workaround, isn't there?
