Hmm I have data roaming to always ask and I have network selection set to manual and only pick my owne network. Never had any probs. I simply lose connection when I'm outside of the network range.

i have data roaming always ask (but i need to set it as yes being on three UK and having a three ITA sim card) i've set manual selection but sometimes i noticed that is on t-mobile or orange (luckily i was not connected on internet)... so something is not working..

just an idea bob - sounds to me like the phone is therefore mainly doing whart you need but is probably 'deciding' to use another carrier if it loses Three coverage? Try setting "network mode" to 3G mode only (obviously that won't affect your access to Three, as they have no 2G network) - that way, while you are in range of Three 3G your manual setting should "stick" ... and if you go out of Three coverage, it's highly likely that other carriers will also be 2G in that area - so the phone will not switch. Not a solution, but maybe some help?
