I'm finding that Skype is very reliable. My main problem has been that when I use it the Media Player stops being able to open files. I have to reboot to get Media Player working properly. Other than that, the volume seems too low. I get few complaints from the other end though.

The volume is too low with the Nokia headset, using another one is fine. Have the microphone near your head.

I have no problems with media player and skype. No need to reboot either, actually on unix systems you reboot very rarely, this is not windows ;-)

Skype crashes everytime I lauch it. Just picked up a new N800. I installed the latest firmware and then clicked on the skype icon to install it. Everything installed fine, but when I lauch it, I get the splash screen for about 5 seconds and then it goes away.

Any ideas what is going on?

I reported volume too low the other day.

Make sure you report the bugs at https://developer.skype.com/jira under Linux distro. Use your Skype account to create a bug report account.
I search for N800 and find only my reported issues, so I'm assuming I'm the only one reporting issues to the developers.

My skype for some reasons crashes randomly, sometimes I can login but if I try ti make a call it crashes. Sometimes it crashes while retrieving my buddy list, I've tried reinstalling it no luck anyone have any ideas?

So far I've had zero problems with Skype on my N800, no crashes or anything. The only possible issue is that it may a memory leak that is noticable if left running for a few weeks. But I have not really verified this yet.
