    is my N900 Dead?

    so my battery died and now the device wont start up.... i get some weird boot menu with;

    Internal Flash

    internal mmc card

    external mmc card

    usb hard drive

    power off (when not on charger)



    So how do i turn my phone back on?

    Hey, that means the bootloader has the option to boot from usb HD, sort of suggests the usb port may yet work as host

    nothings happening for any of them and i cant seem to flash using virtual xp

    Have you removed the battery, waited a minute and then put it back in? I know that is standard operating procedure but you don't mention what you did between the battery reaching full discharge and the failed flash attempt with virtual XP.

    Is that the boot menu?

    If so, this is after the OS has started and will not interfere with your ability to flash.. that'll be a windows problem or a battery low problem, possibly!

    Also, try booting with the keyboard closed.. See if it skips past the menu
