I set up Tversity media server. After some firewall and router setup I can now view my files in my apartment since Canola automatically detects UPnP of Tversity in my WLAN.

However I have no clue how to tell Canola to access the Tversity UPnP when I am connecting from elsewhere not using my home WLAN since I do not find anything in the Canola settings for this. I did not find any info on this on the web either.

So if you managed to use Canola to access you files at home from everywhere on the go with the N800 please let me know how to set this up.
