See my post here for all the default settings in transitioncontrol (in case you need to revert to the defaults):

Please can some well informed person give us some clues!
I experimented a bit with this a while ago and posted my settings and observations here: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=20

I'm not using this anymore though. All my settings got reset when I customised some theme file and I never bothered to set them again. And quite frankly, once the novelty has worn off, the difference in usability and speed is pretty much insignificant.

It would seem you bumped in to the same problem as me, some sort of conflict between the app usbcontrol and transitioncontrol.
try to uninstall usbcontrol and then you probably would be able to install tc.. This worked for me anyway.

When I try to install this app, I get error "some application packages required for installation are missing".

Under Problems tab I get -
Application packages missing : python2.5-xml(>=0.8.4-1osso8)

What should I do?

I also installed an app which uses python like pygtkeditor. After that I was able to install Transition control. I then went to terminal and typed "root transitioncontrol" and hit enter. When I click on transition control now, it tries to open but closes on its own after 5 seconds.

How terribly sloppy. Bugs should be filed for both packages regarding this as .DS_Store is a thumbnail cache file generated by MacOS X and there's no way that should be part of any package, much less multiple packages and in the same place.

ok a few days ago, i installed transition control, everything was fine.

today i overclocked my n900 to 850mhz, and since then when i go to xterminal and type 'root => transitioncontrol ' , it says :

Traceback (most recent call last) :
File "/usr.bin.transitioncontrol" , line 13 , in <module>
import osso

Importerror : no module named osso

what happened there =( ?
