Hi,
I have been trying to install the Application-" Cellular modem Control Button / Tablet Mode"

I tried installing it. The icon does not show up in the power button menu...even after Restarting. I tried uninstalling and re-installing.

Nothing seems to work.

I don't know the process of "Rebooting". OM weather widget says rebooting is required after updating. But it still works even without Restarting.

I am confused if this " Cellular Modem" App too requires Rebooting.

I am not familiar to programming.
I already sent a mail to the Application developer.

Please help me.

Thank You

++++++++++PROBLEM SOLVED++++++++++++

Till now, i have been using my n900 just as a tablet.
I did not have a SIM card in it.

That's probably the reason for failure to display the Application
in the Power Button Menu.

I changed my SIM Card from my Trustworthy Sony Ericsson w810i
to the n900. I have to see if n900 is as convenient as my SE w810i....when it comes to using the phone function....!!!!!!!!! Scrolling is a pain on the N900...it frequently selects some thing in the scroll lists...all by itself... SE w810i has such simple and useful buttons...and n900 has a Touchscreen...with bad scrollling and selection Capabilities.....Lets see..!!!!!!!!!!....and what about TOUCHSCREEN Durability....!!!!!???????!!!!!!!! I had been postponing the change of SIM card permanently to n900....since i brought the n900 in December-2009......now i have a pouch for my n900...Hope the Touch screen survives..??!!

Back to topic :
After inserting SIM Card....i installed the App...and the Tablet mode button Popped up in the Power button Menu..

Just wondering.....if the tablet mode Application will show up...if i insert my old Expired SIM card....Will have to check that....!!!!

Thank you

Ha... that explains why the button disappeared on me. I'd only half-noticed, but it was bugging me. I forgot that I'd taken the SIM card out a few weeks ago, since it was only in there for testing purposes, and wasn't actually activated. Thanks!

Hi. Could anyone help me?

I have installed the "Cellular Modem Control Buttons" app. It says that the "application is successfully installed". But I don't see any changes on my powerkey menu. There is no "tablet mode". I even restarted the phone, still don't see the options for tablet mode on the powerkey menu.

I have installed other apps, like:
-3G/2G/Dual Mode Selection Applet
- Wifi Switched
and they are working fine... I just couldn't seem to figure out why the "cellular modem control" doesn't work.

I have tried uninstalling the "Cellular Modem Control Buttons" and re-install, then restart... Still no luck.

By the way, I do have my SIM card in the phone.
