So a phone that you can't use call any other number than 911 if you have a prepaid SIM card? But they didn't didn't mention that, except in the alledged update that is said to be released any day now and have for the last 3 months? You don't think that is of intrest to the consumer's agency? If the Sony HDTV didn't pick up tv signals what so ever then? Becasue that is what is equivalent to this... BASIC functions!
I also wrote: "Any notification to them will do, as long as they see how many has had enough!"
So even if you don't demand compensation, a notification to them would be an action with consequenses in the right direction... Since I'm convinced that they care if people buy nokia products in the future or not.
Don't discourage this! Don't you want the pr1.2? If you do want it, at least don't just sit around waiting for it like a passive b*tch...
did you buy it on pay as you go or contract? if payg then you could quite easily get refunded from the network who sold you it! i havent even tried payg sim yet but as far as i was aware calls work.
where i stay many HDTV's will not pick up anything at all (never mind HD) without extra equipment being BOUGHT and connected to it, analogue signals have been turned off and digital receivers arent always built in - only the smallest bit of homework and even pensioners are well aware of this, and i've yet to see anyone trying to sue sony/pana/lg for it.
but yes ur right, sitting around waiting like a "passive b**ch" will only delay it, lets arm up and take it by force! wtf man? really? get a grip.
The mailman told me today that the PR1.2 will be out next week! He'd know b/c he works inside the system. This means that the government is involved and this is much larger than we know. All the information on this is buried under the same rosebush along with the mailman. We just got to work this out folks!
At least it looks like Nokia are actually trying still. It's a good thing to say, releasing when things work as opposed to releasing on a certain date whether it works or not. Now they just have to back their word up...

Ok, didn't know that thing about getting a refund from the network and all. Not sure if it works the same way here in Sweden... But I'll look in to it.
Basic analogue is not turned off and all TVs have to be able to recive those analogue signals today, at least in Sweden.
Yes, I standy by what I said. Doing nothing will result in nothing. We need to let them know that as consumers we will not accept being treated this way and that they will lose us as consumers if things does not change.
