Remove enhanced linux kernel for power users (settings) from app. manager and close app manager then try again.

Also, if you've already downgraded back to 2.6.28.10power27 (use uname -a to check), or you haven't upgraded yet, you'd like to hold the update of the kernel-power for the moment:

Code:
echo 'kernel-power hold' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-flasher hold' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-modules hold' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-settings hold' | dpkg --set-selections
If you want to re-enable the update(you don't want to hold them forever), you may use these commands:
Code:
echo 'kernel-power install' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-flasher install' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-modules install' | dpkg --set-selections
echo 'kernel-power-settings install' | dpkg --set-selections
P.S. run as root, of course.

Same here. I didn't try sound yet, but I get tons of "Camera app closed" messages.
Happened when I updated kernel-power. There is a new update new.

All I did was (as root) run dpkg -i kernel*
This threw an error about dependencies and installed everything other than the flasher module; I then just ran dpkg -i kernel-power-flasher*

This is running in a folder with only the .debs in there of course.
Hopefully this glitch can be sorted out because I swear things were running nicer despite the crashing of everything :P

I know how you feel i had same problem this morning so i had to reflash all good now though

mine had error unsuported media playing any files wifi not working
and when unlocking screen internal error for loads of apps e-mail,conversations etc my alarm failed to make a noise and went off late? so i restated well tried to and got reboot loop.
all this was due to installing the new power-user kernal however my phone is not tweaked voltage wise or clock speed.

In retrospective you shouldnt have rebooted when one of the kernal package was not installed. wmc90 has pointed out that when you install the package in question seperately it should be fine.

but its too late for you now. I should have anticipated the dependencies issue and told you how it can be fixed beforehand. Sorry about that.
