I have lots of scripts and other utilities in CVS reposotiries. Since I would like to get them and work with them on my N900 I hoped to find CVS available somewhere. However, I can not find it.

Does anyone know where to get CVS from for Maemo 5 / N900?

Import them into a git repo then install git-core

(and leave that dreadful cvs behind with a big cheesy grin!)

git looks interesting, but would require me to update all the different machines that use the current repositories. would be easier (at least short term) to install good old cvs for maemo if it exists

Someone here posted a thread about compiling a few thousand Debian packages for Maemo. I can't find it, even with Power Search, but someone else might remember. If you're lucky, the CVS client could be compiled too and is available from the repository where these packages are hosted.

Found it:
