In retrospective you shouldnt have rebooted when one of the kernal package was not installed. wmc90 has pointed out that when you install the package in question seperately it should be fine.
but its too late for you now. I should have anticipated the dependencies issue and told you how it can be fixed beforehand. Sorry about that.

To uninstall the kernel type
If you're on LR1.2 then do the same command you'd use to flash the whole image, but add --flash-only=kernelCode:apt-get --reinstall install kernel kernel-flasher
flasher-3.5 -F image.bin --flash-only=kernel -f
The following packages have unmet dependencies: kernel-flasher: PreDepends: kernel (= 2.6.28-20094803.3+0m5+0hid1) but 2.6.28-20094803.3+0m5 is to be installed
