but its too late for you now. I should have anticipated the dependencies issue and told you how it can be fixed beforehand. Sorry about that.

I actually had this when I flashed to the PR1.2 RC... not sure what did it but just reflashing the kernel (you can separate the images with flasher, and then just flash the kernel alone) made it work perfectly.

well, just to see if the new version worked, I went ahead and upgraded to build 30. Busted my sound like clockwork. I was able to downgrade very easily with the Debs posted by 9000. Holding the kernel packages might not be a bad idea, but I wonder how long before the real problem is discovered and resolved. I didn't see anything in my kernel logs to indicate a broken module, but, I also didn't see audio initialized anywhere. Anyway, I can't confirm if the kernel works fine for 1.1 users, but 1.2 users should stay away from any enhanced kernel updates until further notice, perhaps until pr1.2 is officially released. If it aint broke...

To uninstall the kernel type
Code:
apt-get --reinstall install kernel kernel-flasher
If you're on LR1.2 then do the same command you'd use to flash the whole image, but add --flash-only=kernel
flasher-3.5 -F image.bin --flash-only=kernel -f

I get the following error while trying to restore the Nokia kernel:
Code:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kernel-flasher: PreDepends: kernel (= 2.6.28-20094803.3+0m5+0hid1) but 2.6.28-20094803.3+0m5 is to be installed
Any ideas why? I'm using the 1.1PR

kernel-power version 28-31 were broken and only available in extras-devel.
don't install stuff from extras-devel unless you read the corresponding announcements and warnings.
v34 should be stable again.
