http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N...ED_MR0_ARM.bin

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KLSYGXRF

quick tuturial:
making sure phone is off,
download flasher (to PC)
install
download firmware
download install.bat
move firmware and install.bat to C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5
plug usb into computer only
run install
and hold U on the n900 keyboard and plug in usb to n900
should connect then start to install (takes about 90seconds)
boot up your n900

Edit: I have just updated an old guide I made ages ago but now with new firmware version. should work still though. + This is for the global firmware, is this the region you want to install?

well i'm from uk an bought from nokia uk direct the day it was released. I've been using the global firmware since then. and had no problems there is only one difference that i have come across and thats the extreamly late FW updates for UK and the main reason I use this firmware.

but it up to you, I can easy change it for uk for you...

P.S. where abouts in uk are you?

hi, im in hull lol

i have to agree with the late fw update in uk, and since someone experienced like yourself said its ok to use the global firmware, i suppose i will use it too lol

thanks for your help, though i dont have time to do it atm (two exams in the next two days =[ ) , but once theyre done i will get back to it.

for now im sticking with my trusty( not really) old LG wine.

cheers

Cool, good luck!

Should only take 10mins depending on download speeds.

hi, its me again, i havent flash my device yet, but an idea of overclocking came into mind.

from what i know , you can flash a kernel (is that what its called?) with an overclock preference into the phone. do they have lots of bugs? i would like to try the n900 at a faster speed, since some claimed that overclocking actually increases the battery life...

thanks
