i'm 16 and i use my n900 for phone calls, texting, emails, music, video (tv out), youtube in the web browser on flash 9.4, facebook, chatting on skype msn and facebook, calls over wifi, video calls over wifi, browsing the web, fm transmitter, sometimes maps, vnc, news (cnn, engadget, gsmarena,...), games, ..... and everything else.
I'm 68. Been in computers since before they were invented!! the N900 is the best computer ever invented. I use it for just about everything except the phone calls. Lot's of movies, TV, games, GPS and Email.
I use it as a phone, I use it to send messages, I use it to share media, I use it to surf the net, I use it to watch videos, I use it as a camera, I use it to check mails and answer if urgent and I don't have access to my PC, I use it to play games, I use it to listen to music, I use it to do some shell scripting while in a bus or somewhere I don't have access to my main PC, I use it to read man-pages whenever I have some time to waste, etc.
I mostly look at it, as a GNU/Linux product, you know, I mean I like to do things I do with my main Debian GNU/Linux with it, and it's really great. Because it's just Debian...
That's why I chose N900 instead of iPhone, or N8, etc.
