Is anyone else annoyed by this?

I like to use phone app in portrait mode but rotation control and the rotation animation is a bit annoying. Here is what happens:

- Phone is laying on the desk and a call comes.
- Screen goes landscape and call information is displayed.
- I pick up the phone to answer but during the picking up it for some reason goes to portrait even if I aim to pick in landscape.
- During the rotation the screen goes blank for a second or so (to display the cool animation) and then comes back in portrait.
- I rotate the phone to portrait to answer the call but this results in the application going into landscape mode.
- Same animation wastes a second or so.

Same thing happens if I am in the middle of a call and want to change volume or pull up screen dial-pad to input some digits.

Comments?

i faced this issue, and agree its annoying.
turn off automatic rotation and set it to portrait by default and also turn off the "turning control".
makes it useable for me, otherwise I always end up rejecting some of my calls or putting it on speaker and embarrassing myself.

You can also just change your own transitions.ini file by yourself manually under /usr/share/hildon-desktop
