I just have to off-topic reply: S40 is shorthand for Series 40. S60 uses Symbian.

That's the ethics of 5 year old naughty boys. 'Little Tommy broke the rules so it should be ok for everyone to break rules.' Forum Nokia following bad standards is no excuse for us to behave as stupidly.

People in closed beta weren't forced to be testers. There's a NDA and it should be respected.

You are right lassileevi a reason more why a cant understand if this series 40 3gen (since 2005) supports all phone requirements like groups and so one why a 2009 operating system cant. *also OT*

The answer to that lies in the '3gen' part of your post. The 2009 operating we're talking about is first generation with regard to phone functionality. You can't just transplant stuff from other other OSes, they needed time to write first time around, and they need time to get written now, too, and this is not something 'new', it was also the reason why the iPhone and other devices were missing functionality present on the low-midrange phone offer of 2005 and which are being added gradually after each new release.

Symbian and S40 = phone OS
Maemo 5 = tablet os with phone app.

    Just throwing that out there
